Dr. Wilda Reviews ‘Heat Holders’ Socks

8 Dec

Moi received a complimentary pair of Heat Holders Socks and not a moment too soon. Seattle weather which is usually mild turned brutal. The December 6 article, Ahead are the coldest days yet for Seattle, then snow, at Seattle PI.com by Scott Sunde says it all:

Seattle’s frigid temperatures will continue through the weekend and will even drop a bit.

Come Monday, we might see some snow.

Friday, the temperature in Seattle should barely reach 32 degrees. The National Weather Service forecasts lows Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights of 19 degrees.

A few places in Western Washington might see temperatures drop into the single digits Friday night.

Some light snow has and may continue to fall from Olympia to the south on Friday.

The Weather Service has posted a wind advisory for San Juan County, western Wastcom County and the western Strait of Juan de Fuca until 4 a.m. Saturday.  Winds should increase there Friday morning. Winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected, and gusts could reach 45 mph.

There is also a gale warning in effect for Washington’s northern inland waters, including the San Juans, through Saturday morning.

Saturday looks to be the coldest day yet with the temperature reaching no higher than 31 degrees.

Temperatures are expected to rise a bit on Monday to above freezing. But that day also brings a chance of snow.

Forecasters expect a chance of snow Monday and a chance of a mix of rain and snow Tuesday.     http://www.seattlepi.com/local/article/Ahead-are-the-coldest-days-yet-for-Seattle-then-5041131.php

Ok, folks in Alaska, Minnesota, Canada, and the South Pole are LOL, but remember this is Seattle. Moi tested her socks on Saturday, December 7 when the temperatures were hovering around 26 to freezing depending upon where one was. Moi had a bunch of errands and would be spending quite a bit of time outside.

Moi went to the Heat Holders site and learned a bit more about the company:

Our company was established in 1947 in England. At that time the company used to trade yarn. The last few decades our company has been manufacturing, importing and distributing socks.

Our North American office is based out of Oakville, Ontario in Canada. We have multiple warehouses and fulfillment centers. Shipments for this website are serviced through our fulfillment center in North Carolina.

Heat Holders was developed by our talented product development team in house. The challenge was to make a sock that would be the warmest sock ever and comfortable and practical to wear in daily life. It wasn’t easy, but our team came up with Heat Holders in 2008.

Since then we have sold more than 10 million pairs worldwide and our distribution continues to grow. This growth is because of our customers who are truly satisfied with Heat Holders. Whether they are at Home, at Work or at Play in the cold winter months, there is a pair of Heat Heat Holders for them, which keeps them warm, comfortable and safe. We hope to count you among our customers!
